Featured story of the week
On 10th August 2012 the What We've Done crew organised an event at Passing Clouds. "One Year On" was an opportunity to use arts, music and film to talk constructively about the riots on their anniversary. Held in partnership with Fully Focused Community, the event went really well. Crew members created a grafitti art installation that everyone wrote on. 'MC Angel' and 'Infector' came down to perform. There was a talk upstairs about Stop & Search that we got involved in and 'A place To Speak' was an area where people could talk to camera about how they felt about the riots one year later. Leon Fearon came down (the guy who spoke out against government cuts to Boris Johnson) and so did Hackney Heroine, Pauline Pearce. What We've Done editor, Kamara is cutting together a report of the event that will be on the NEWS section of the site soon. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen. It was brilliant!
